Counselling and Therapy
Counseling provides support with general or specific life issues, decisions, and everyday challenges. It focuses on developing concrete strategies for action and is often shorter in duration.Therapy, on the other hand, is indicated for deeper, more complex issues that may significantly impact daily life and functioning. Therapy typically involves a more in-depth, longer-term process aimed at fostering sustainable change and personal growth.
In addition to individual sessions, counseling and therapy can also be offered for couples, families, or groups. The duration and frequency of sessions are agreed upon individually and adjusted according to your needs.
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
In one-on-one sessions, we address a wide range of personal growth and change-related topics.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, dissatisfied, emotionally burdened, or struggling with specific symptoms—or perhaps you've lost touch with your goals, values, or sense of self—counseling or therapy in a safe and supportive space can help you regain clarity, reconnect with yourself, and shape your life in a way that aligns with your true needs.
A key focus is often the relationship with yourself and how you engage with the world around you. For meaningful and lasting change, it's essential to strengthen your inner resources and foster (self-)trust, self-worth, initiative, and a sense of purpose. This process encourages deeper awareness and appreciation of your inner experiences and needs, builds emotional resilience, and supports a more compassionate and conscious connection with yourself.
If you're navigating a transition or facing a specific, well-defined issue, even one or a few sessions may be enough to gain new insights and solutions. For more complex challenges or a more profound support, ongoing sessions over a longer period are often more helpful.
COUPLE SESSIONS
Couples seek counseling during times of crisis, when facing important decisions or considering separation, in the midst of ongoing challenges, alienation or when communication becomes strained or feels dysfunctional due to everyday stress and overwhelm.
Couples counseling offers the opportunity to shift entrenched patterns of interaction and develop new perspectives and ideas. The focus is on exploring underlying dynamics and working toward clearer communication, greater understanding, and a more fulfilling connection. Current issues are explored within the context of each partner’s life circumstances, the couple’s shared history, and individual family backgrounds that may be influencing the relationship dynamic. The aim is to recognize and use the potential that lies within the current crisis to create new, satisfying perspectives for the future—together.
Couple and individual sessions can be combined as needed.
CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS & PARENTS
Developmental challenges, difficulties at school, or conflicts with parents or peers can be a significant source of stress—for both children and their families. Counseling offers a space to identify and strengthen both parental and child resources.
In a safe and supportive setting, challenges are gently explored—often through play—and worked through in a way that feels natural and accessible for the child. This process helps to open up new ways of coping and relating.
Support is offered to both children and parents. The parent–child relationship is always approached with respect and care, and is actively supported and strengthened throughout the process.
Crisis Intervention & Stress Management
Stress in daily life and challenges such as illness, loss, or other painful experiences are an inevitable part of being human.
During times of acute strain and high stress levels, learning effective stress management techniques can help reduce stress, restore inner balance, and find a sense of calm, clarity, and stability—even in difficult life circumstances.
Our team offers a comprehensive and individualized treatment approach tailored to your specific needs. We combine a variety of methods to support effective stress reduction and improve self-regulation. These may include body-based relaxation techniques (e.g. progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercises, Somatic Experiencing), as well as guided imagery, concentrative exercises, and meditative practices drawn from traditions such as yoga and Zen.
In more in-depth counseling, we also support the development of personalized stress management tools, conflict resolution strategies, and new approaches to problem-solving. This targeted form of “stress coaching” can also serve as a preventive resource—helping to reduce the impact of stress triggers and opening up space for personal growth and new possibilities.
Supervision
Supervision is a form of professional consulting used in work-related settings. It supports individuals and teams in reflecting on their professional actions, expanding their competencies, and improving the overall quality of their work.
The process offers guidance and relief in challenging situations, fosters both professional and personal development, and helps in managing stress and conflicts in the workplace.
We offer individual and group supervision for professionals—particularly those working in therapeutic, medical, and social fields. In addition, we provide team supervision to support reflection on shared work processes and to enhance communication and collaboration within teams.
Seminars, Trainings & Professional Education
The seminars and trainings are designed for body therapists, psychotherapists, trauma therapists, and professionals in the social sector who wish to further develop their personal strengths and skills, while refining their professional tools and methods.
Topic-specific workshops offer deep insights into working with clients and navigating therapeutic relationships. Through mindful exploration of their own issues and experiences, participants discover new ways of connecting with themselves and others—integrating these capacities into both their personal and professional lives.
Professional education and advanced trainings take place at the Institute for Systemic Therapy and Counseling (IST) Berlin, under the umbrella of the Systemic Society (SG), and are aimed at systemic psychotherapists in training.
ELEVATE Retreats
Our retreats offer personalized experiences tailored to support personal growth, mental well-being, and expanded awareness. We combine plant-based healing methods, bodywork, and meditation practices with traditional therapeutic approaches, creating a holistic path for physical, mental, and spiritual transformation.
The retreats can be organized in both individual and group settings.
